Day 1 Candy heart in (from left to right): pop, water, vinegar. Gummy bear in (from left to right): vinegar, water, pop. Day 2 The gummy bears are completely gone, just some red left.
The candy hearts are still dissolving. You can even see an outline of a heart on the bottom of the bottom cup. This poem was our activity during Morning Meeting this week. We all signed it. Green Eggs and Ham or pudding, nilla wafers, some green food coloring, and sprinkles.
We made oobleck today! The students loved it. I highly recommend googling it and even making it at home. There are so many different things you can do with it. Oobleck is a great at home science activity. Dear Parents/Families,
We are excited to announce the launch of the revised Kindergarten Report Card beginning with the Quarter 3 report card (disseminated on April 13th) of this school year! The Kindergarten Report Card was last updated in the mid-1990s. Over the past year and a half, the Office of Early Childhood Education has led a research-based process to make updates and improvements which included feedback and input from district kindergarten teachers, building leaders, parents, and families. We hope you will find that the revised Kindergarten Report Card was truly created with you -- the parent -- in mind. The report card should serve as a starting point for your conversations with your child’s teacher around your student’s growth and development. The Parent and Family Guide that accompanies the report card has also been updated to explain the new features and will be handed out during report card pick up on April 13th. Room 104 Families,

Ms. Maltz [email protected] rmaltz.weebly.com Next week we will be learning about different kinds of bears! We will talk about brown bears, polar bears, and panda bears. We will learn about the habitats they live in, the food they eat and all of their different characteristics. On Friday, March 11th your child should bring their very own teddy bear to school! We will be celebrating the end of “Bear Week” by talking about our favorite teddy bears and what makes them special and different from our friends. Please send your child to school on Friday with their favorite teddy bear.
Throughout the week we will do a lot of different activities. We are asking for donations of 1 extra large bag of gummy bears, 2 boxes of chocolate teddy grahams and 2 boxes of honey teddy grahams, and large paper plates to help us with some of these projects. If you would like to help please access the spreadsheet sent out by Ayesha and Kiae. Keeping a strong school to home connection is important to us and we appreciate all of your help! Kindest, The Kindergarten team |
